Hot tub Hire
Q. How many people can the hot tub accommodate?
Our hot tubs are designed to take four adults. Please see the 'hot tub' information page for further details.
Q. How much space will I need ?
A circular area of 7ft diameter is needed to site the hot tub. The floor must be able to support the expected load (1200kg + occupants weight), it is important the site is relatively flat.
Q. What is the minimum hire period
?
Minimum hire period is for 3days, the hot tub will be delivered the night before to enable it to heat up. For example if you hired the hot tub for Friday, Saturday and Sunday we would deliver and install the hot tub Thursday night, it would be ready to use by Friday morning. We would then collect Sunday late afternoon/evening depending on your requirements. We also have a set price for a 1 week period which is very popular. Longer terms can be arranged and are welcomed; we will be pleased to provide you with a custom quote. You can send an email to us via the 'Contact Us' page.
Q. Do you deliver into my area
?
We are based in Rugby, Warwickshire so we cover the Midlands and surrounding
areas. Some of the places we provide hot tub hire to are: Barby, Bilton, Binley, Birdingbury, Bourton on Dunsmore, Brinklow, Broadwell, Bulkington, Catthorpe, Cawston, Church Lawford, Clifton upon Dunsmore, Coventry, Crick, Daventry, Dunchurch, Easenhall, Frankton, Hilmorton, Kilsby, Lilbourne, Long Buckby, Long Itchington, Long Lawford, Loughborough, Lutterworth, Newton, Royal Leamington Spa, Rugby, Southam, Stockton, Stratford upon Avon, Thurlaston, Ullesthorpe, Warwick, Wolston, Wolvey (Warwickshire Northamptonshire West Midlands Staffordshire Leicestershire Derbyshire Buckinghamshire). The hire costs quoted include delivery and set-up within a 20mile radius of Rugby and possibly of Loughborough (depending on hire dates), for places not mentioned and further distances please ask and we will be happy to quote you. We'll also be able to deliver into the Hertfordshire area shortly.
Q. Where can I have the hot tub installed
?
Ideally we recommend an outside location which must be a flat area able to support the applied load. It is also important that the site is free of sharp objects. A water supply is needed (i.e delivered via a hose pipe) that will reach the location of the hot tub, as will a standard 240Volt 13Amp electricity socket within 15m of the hot tub.
We can install indoors as long as the area is structurally sound and very well ventilated (for your homes protection!), ideally with drainage. With careful entry and exiting from the hot tub a minimal amount of water will exit the hot tub so drainage isn't compulsory. In the event the hot tub causes damage by leakage (other than that expected from people using it) claims can be made as we do have insurance, subject to an excess fee.
Q. How do you fill the hot tub and how long does it take?
Normally we would fill the hot tub using your cold water mains supply via a hose pipe. The hot tub will take 2/3 hours to fill depending on your local water pressure. As the hot tub takes 12-18 hours to warm up it will be delivered the night before. If you prefer, warm water from a suitable supply (combi boiler) can be used to fill the tub which then means it is suitable to use straight away.
Q. How much will it cost to
run? The hot tub is very insulated from all sides, top and bottom. This is because they are all filled with air, so when the lid and the outer covers are on (which protects the whole unit from the weather) the water is cocooned in a very efficient insulating layer. The efficient heat exchanger combined with the excellent insulation means costs can be as little as tens of pence a day, depending on the outside air temperature and your choice of heat setting. In fact we tested the insulation by leaving the hot tub turned off overnight, it was so good that the temperature only dropped by 3/4degrees.
Q. How much does the hot tub
weigh? When full with water the hot tub can
weigh up to 1170 kilograms. This means its spot must withstand
375kgs per square metre when four adults are using it.
Q. How does the hot tub maintain its
temperature? In order to maintain a constant temperature
the hot tub needs to be connected to an electric supply. The very
efficient heat exchanger will regulate the temperature, this will be
aided by the thermal cover provided.
Q. What about the electrical
safety?
The hot tub is supplied with a residual safety
device (RCD), for your comfort and safety. All our units are also PAT tested for added safety.
Q. How do we check and maintain the water quality
?
The hire prices include a full chemical kit with written
instructions, so balancing the water
is a simple process. For longer hire periods new water filters are also included. All our hot tubs are cleaned between hire in guidance with the Health and Safety directive.
Q. What water temperature will the hot tub get up
to?
The tub will raise the temperature of the water up to 40
degrees. The most popular temperatures are between about 36 to 38
degrees as 40degrees is normally too hot after 10minutes or so, even in ambient temperatures approaching freezing! |
